FC Kallon playmaker Abu Kanu aka Cygan has expressed his gratitude to Sandia FC foe standing by during his struggles and says he is indebted to the club.
The FC Kallon superstar was part of the team in last inter-community league at Lumley but failed to find the form he produced for the past years.
Last season was particularly disappointing in Alie Kallon’s debut year as Sandia Coach as injury and poor form made it a campaign to forget
But Abu is already showing signs of improvement in the current season and has thanked the head coach for sticking by him.
He disclosed to AYV Sports ”Coach Alie could have got rid of me but he did the opposite, he supported me and helped me. The manager and my friends told me they wanted me here and I will try to make sure things go well. I have a debt to them and to Sandia community by helping them win the inter community league this year.”
The young Abu believes he can put the tough times behind him and progress at this year’s competition.
He added ‘’ I think I will succeed in Sandia Community. ‘’ I am happy here and I want to play a decisive role. We must keep improving.
“Last year for the Alieu Sesay trophy I was not well physically. Things do not come out sometimes. I felt like a robot on the pitch, it was very predictable, very mechanical’’.
