As the Western Area Football Association (WAFA) election for Chairman comes closer, the Team Manager for the Africell-sponsored Salone Premier League Champions, Ports Authority, Mr. Abdul Kanasinu, says he is very confident of winning.
He said if all goes well he will be the next President of the Western Area Football Association.
“My ambition of becoming President is due to the fact that I want to change the face of football in the Western Area and try to bring business houses to invest in football,” he explained to Reporter.
He also stated that since football is one of the popular sporting disciplines in the country, it therefore needs the utmost support from stakeholders to will help improve and add value to the game.
He disclosed that he has had the ambition of becoming President of WAFA for a long time as he believes he has the ability to influence and encourage other people to work with him and improve the game.
He noted that football has to grow in the country and called on the electorate to vote him in so that he will bring growth to the game.
