Julius Maada Bio
The Leader and flag bearer of the United Democratic Movement (UDM), Mr. Mohamed Bangura, has informed Journalists that the flag bearer of the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) Retired Brigadier General Julius Maada Bio is corrupt and he must go out of the politics in this country to enable him to be in the second position behind President Koroma.
Addressing Journalists at a press conference held at the Harry Yanseneh Hall at 156 Campbell street in Freetown on Friday, March 30, he stated that Mr. Julius Maada Bio must be investigated immediately by the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) for alleged corrupt practices involving the sales of passports by Dr. Abass Bundu when he was the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the money was shared among him and Strasser, and Mr. Bio. He threatened that if Mr. Bio refused to comment on the issue he will take the issue up to the Presidential debate.
He called on the SLPP to reconsider withdrawing the nomination of Mr. Bio, adding he wants to contest against person with a clean record and not somebody who is corrupt.
He said he has all the evidence of Mr. Bio’s corrupt activities as he distributed documents to Journalists, which he said explain his allegations against Mr. Bio.
He explained further that when he called a press conference in April last year and came up with some allegations against Mr. Maada Bio, civil society, the international community and the media a urged him to come up with facts to substantiate his claims.
He said he has completed his homework and he was ready to indict Mr. Maada Bio and Dr. Abass Bundu.
He said that Dr. Abass Bundu still has to pay this country a large sum of money on an order from the High Court, which he had never done.

Let Med Bangura return the suffering tax payers money he wasted on Schulenberg’s withdrawal, when he travelled to the Un conference as adviser to the Foreign Affairs Ministry as. this man is a comedian who deserve less attention.
One important character that Maada Bio has should be admired is that he is not as mean as other presidents in the sub region, if it were so then he would not have handed over power when he had the gun and no body with cutlasses would have removed his regime. He just listened to the voice of the people from bintumany one and two and it is written in the bible that whosoever listen to the voice of the children of God has listened to the voice of God and God will surely compensate him. imagine what happened in Ivory Coast God grew anoid with Bagbo, hardened his heart when he refused to listen to the voice of the people, God purnished him.Consider King pharoah who refused to listen to the voice of God to let his people go, he was purnished. This was what Maada Bio Feared.
I fear the average Sierra Leonean, he is very unreliable, when Tejan Kabba Came there was jubilation that NPRC did not do any thing, when President Koroma came, they said Kabba did not do anything irrespective of all the structures he put in place like Nassit, Local council, Sababu education in all chiefdoms those were his priority ares on which PRESIDENT KOROMA is building.
I know very well that when President Koroma shall have gone we will say he did not do any thing, How long are we going to be on this without sppreciation to the efforts of past leaders.
In the case of Maada Bio whom Bangura is accusing of being corrupt, if and only if he is the man that has corrupted this country during his rein for just four years then this nation would have been a land of milk and honey since independent. I am advicing that Bangura concentrates on his own campaign and leave every one to campaign. Any one who has leaved in Sierra Leone for more than twenty years needs not be campaigned to, only strangers fear the eyes of a painted devil and be threatened with fearful words and intimidated with momey to be voted in.if people know you are good or still good , you don’t need to shout asking people the question ‘dont you know am good’ just like a father who feeds his children which is his responsibility and latter shout at them whethe they do no know when he cloths them and feed them. I only admire people who do things which are not their direct responsibility, but a leader caring for his people is his ultimate responsibility for which he was voted in. God chooses leaders but not the mouth of distractors like Bangura, wait for the last day and give chance to god to do his work, there is a proverb which says that ‘when God signs your document even if a chicken goes into a palm oil drum and step on the paper, it will be discoloured’. So bangura, dont threaten God in taking his dicision by spending sleepless night shouting that one aspirant is not qualified to be choosen by God as if you have just had meeting with him. Worry about your own faith which is as stake that the Maada you are worried about
