‘I want to bring sanity and discipline into football’ -Isha Johansen

The Chief Executive Officer of FC Johansen, Madam Isha Johansen yesterday officially declared her intention to run for the  for the position of Presidency of the Sierra Leone Football Association.

Making her declaration at the Hill Valley Hotel at Signal Hill in Freetown, she said if she was elected as President she will bring change and development to football in the country.

“I got involved in football from 2004 and up till now I have done a lot in terms of promoting the young people in the country and I just believe in the passion of helping develop football,” he stressed.

She said presently the SLFA is in terrible condition which she said she can turn around and bring back her lost glory.

She maintained that a lot of things needed to be done in order to restore integrity into the association which she said she is the only fit person to do.

“It high time that the stakeholders come together and make a difference,” she proclaimed, noting, “I am making history as the first female to be running for the position.”

She revealed that she has the national and internationally connections to bring a lot of development to football in this country.

Speaking at the ceremony, Proprietor and former Editor of the Pool Newspaper who was also a former executive member of the SLFA and now Information Attaché at the Sierra Leone Embassy in Brussels, Belgium, Mr. Chernor Ojuku Sesay, said without he had no doubt that Madam  Isha Johansen is the right person for the SLFA Presidency.

Describing her as a hardworking young woman, Sesay said Isha Johansen is a results oriented woman who does not accept failing as an alternative.

He said FC Johansen is a household word in Europe which makes Sierra Leoneans in the diaspora feel proud.
