Salone male and female boxers to miss Olympic Games

Sierra Leone’s male and female boxers will likely miss this year’s Olympic Games in July in London, this paper has been intimated.

The reports explained further that the two male boxers who went to Morocco failed to create any serious impact and they were unable to qualify to the next stage.

For the female boxers, the reports stated that they failed to compete in the Women World Boxing Championship in Qinhuangdao, China which started on May 9.

The reports lamented that these ladies were unable to participate because of lack of funds.

When she talked to AYV Sports, the female Coach, Ms. Sarah Johnson said it has been a very big blow to them especially when they have been training very hard for the competition.
