The Golden Eagles Boys and Girls Organisation, will on Sunday, June 24, host the first edition of the charitable match to posthumously honour late Sierra Leonean female footballers.
According to the Chief Executive Officer of the organisation, Ms. Aminata IZ Kamara, she decided to return home to organize the match to highlight the contribution of the late players to female football in Sierra Leone.
“When I return home I found out in general sports was dying in the country and with what I saw when I was in America I thought I should help my home to develop sports as part of my own contribution in helping to build the nation,” she told AYV.
She also said that their organisation was not only focused on football, but also helping other sporting disciplines that were struggling.
She concluded that as a former footballer she must use her talent to promote young female players.
