AWOL Chairman romances with Muslims in Fourah Bay

The Chairman of the All Works of Life’s (AWOL), Ambassador Anthony Navo Jr. has again given a helping hand to a cross-section of Muslims Jamaats within the Fourah Bay community in near eastern part of Freetown, by donating food, drinks and provisions to them.

Explaining this development to this Reporter, the Coordinator of the programme, Mr. Aruna Newland, said Mr. Navo has stated that he was given the assistance because he saw the need of his Muslim brothers and sisters to enable them observe the fasting this Ramadan.

Mr. Newland revealed that he had been coordinating this kind of gesture on behalf of Mr. Navo for about six years now.

He disclosed that the Jamaats that benefited from the gesture include the Haq Mosque, the Limba Mosque, the Scotland Street Mosque, the Up Gun Mosque, Jamaatul Ibrahim situated in Krojimmy, the Mass Jamaat at Brass Street, the Kennedy Street Mosque, and the Atiq Jamaat of Davis Street
