Hindilo Trye is dead

Mr. Hindolo Sumanguru Trye, has died. It has emerged that Mr. Trye died yesterday morning on the way to the Choitram’s Hospital while being rushed there for treatment, after taking ill. He was declared dead on arrival.Mr. Hindolo Trye was the legendary leader of the students’ uprising in Sierra Leone in 1977. He also worked for the Tablet Newspaper and spent years in exile in the United States of America the 1980s and the early parts of the 1990s. He served as Minister in the National Provisional Ruling Council (NPRC) junta but joined the then opposition All People’s Congress ( APC) in 2005. When the APC came to power in 2007, he was appointed Minister of Tourism.
