President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma and other dignitaries including the Vice president, Members of Parliament, Cabinet Ministers and senior government officials have paid their last respect to former Deputy Speaker of Parliament, the late Hon. Victor Chukuma Johnson.
Paying tribute to the late man, the Majority Leader of Parliament, Hon. SBB Dumbuya, described the late man as friendly and dedicated to his work, noting that the former deputy speaker served Parliament with honor and diligence and respected each and every parliamentarian irrespective of the political parties they represented in Parliament.
The Minority Leader in Parliament, Hon. Emmanuel Tommy of the opposition SLPP, praised the late man for his good work and frank discussions on national issues and recalled specific days when he acted as Speaker of the House.
Hon. Shirika Sama of the PMDC described the late man as an action man as he contributed greatly in securing a bus for the Public Accounts Committee, adding that the late man was kind to everybody and urged the family to take heart for the death of their loved one.
Speaker after speaker lauded the work of the late man, especially his dedication to serve his country, Sierra Leone.
