Stellar Maris and Summit book places in final

In the National Olympic Committee (NOC) Olympafrica Second Edition soccer competition currently taking place at the Milton Margai College of Education and Technology (MMCET) grounds at Goderich over the weekend the Stellar Maris Primary School booked their place in final when they defeated FAWE by two goals to one.

In the Junior Secondary School category it was Summit School that went through to the finals after they held UMC to a one all draw at full time during penalties shoot out with Summit winning by four goals to three.

According to the host Coordinator, Mr. Francis Alpha, both matches were very thrilling as most fans who witnessed them were moved by the performances displayed by the boys. He said he hoped the remaining matches will be equally thrilling.

In the remaining semi final encounters to be played tomorrow in the Primary School category Kankaylay will play against REC Goderich while in the Secondary School group Agape will battle against El-Bethel.

Both winners will then play against Stellar Maris and Summit respectively in the grand final on Saturday, July 7, while the losers will battle for the third spot respectively against FAWE and UMC on Thursday, July 5 at the same venue.
