The Acting Chief of External Relations of the National Electoral Commission (NEC), Mr. Christopher Jones, has said that the ongoing Provisional Verification Register (PVR) is going on very smoothly but with minor problems.

He said that the process will involve the Provisional Voter Registration to check and cross-check whether the particulars of those who registered were correct so that identification cards will be issued to them.

He noted that those who registered will now have the opportunity to check for correct spellings of their names, age and addresses.

He disclosed that in cases where registrants lose their registration forms, people in the community have the right to vouch for the identity of such individuals.

He said they have already opened 19 Enquiry Centres across the country where people can make enquiries or lodge complaints about malpractices.
