Aspirant for the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) presidency, Rodney Micheal, has told AYV Sports that the Ministry of Youth, Employment and Sports has no right to suspend him from football activities in the country.

Speaking to AYV Sports from Bo, Michael said the Ministry of Sports has no right to interpret the code of ethics of world football governing body, Fifa, and that if they issued a statement suspending him from all football activities he would wait for the said letter before he would take necessary action.

The ministry has not right to interpret Articles 27 to 33 of the Fifa code of ethics, but only members of the ethics committee which the ministry was not part of.

He said as a peaceful citizen that has contributed immensely to the development of football in the country, he would not sit by and allow a government ministry to destroy the good image of football that he has helped build for over decades.
