The Political Parties Registration Commission (PPRC) through the Peace Building Fund is set to sponsor Political Parties to hold Intra Party Dialogues around the country.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will on Thursday 18th July 2013 hold their intra-party discussions in Bo Southern Sierra Leone while the Citizens Democratic Party holds their dialogue in Kenema on 19th July 2013. The Revolutionary United Front Party, the United National Peoples Party and the United Democratic Movement will all hold dialogues on the 20th July 2013.
During these dialogues, parties are expected to do a post mortem of the just concluded elections and have reflections of how they perform in the just concluded multi- tier elections.
Issues relating to the development of parties and the promotion and sustenance of democracy and good governance in Sierra Leone are all topical in the parties’ agendas especially within the current discuss of the Constitutional Review Process.
Parties will also use this as an opportunity to resolve internal disputes and other problems between and among their membership.
Dates for the All Peoples Congress (APC), the Sierra Leone Peoples Party (SLPP), National Democratic Alliance (NDA), Peoples Movement for Democratic Change (PMDC) and the Peace and Liberation Party (PLP) will be communicated later.
